Public square design

2006 | St. Veit – 2nd place

A square represents the municipality.

The current square consists of four areas: municipal front square, square space / front areas for the residents, church square, and traffic space.

The fundamental draft concepts were to expand the functions currently present (café, awning, fairgrounds, etc.) and to emphasise the character of the square with targeted changes (alleviating height issues).

These goals shall be achieved with the following basic measures:
Consistent, adjusted treatment of materials with regard to form and function. Sturdier surface materials suited to the size of the square.
