The exhibition for the ZV Builders’ Prize 2021 was opened by Roman Höllbacher and architect Tom Lechner in the Architekturhaus Salzburg on April 28, 2022. Maria Auböck, president of the Central Association of Austrian Architects, emphasized at the award ceremony in October last year the importance “that all of us in the world of design, planning and building – clients, planners, industry and contractors – take responsibility for the future of our immediate surroundings, our country and our planet” (Quotation from the website of the Architecture Initiative, retrieved on April 29, 2022).
How this responsibility can be taken on in a forward-looking manner was discussed in a panel discussion with representatives of clients, decision makers and architecture.
The exhibition shows the 24 nominated buildings and six winners of the Builders’ Prize 2021 and can be visited until May 25, 2022 from Tue-Fri 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Architekturhaus, Sinnhubstraße 3, in Salzburg.
